A song I wrote a while ago. Never was truly happy with the vocal. So, I doubled down and just put it out there!
A friend of mine always says, "Is it Blue, or is it Gray." I love that so much I had to incorporate it into this lyric. After all, the charachter in this song obviously pines for someone who is using them. Now he wants to know if it's "love or lust." I think it's a powerful emotion for someone to feel.

I started it on a Tascam DP008 and imported all the guitar, bass, and rough vocal tracks. My rig has improved since then. But I have to tell you making a rough track on the small format is so much fun and much more simple.

This was the first song I fully produced using the Reason DAW. This started as a little solo acoustic number, but I kept hearing a reggae feel in the back of my mind. So I ran with it. I spent some time learning how to do the "bubble organ" technique. It's not hard, just a timing thing if you want it to sound authentic.
