"Floral Shoppe" might as well be one of the most groundbreaking vaporwave releases in the subgenre's existence. When I first heard "リサフランク420 / 現代のコンピュー" on some chillwave YouTube channel in 2012, I originally dismissed Macintosh Plus (aka Vektroid aka Ramona Xavier) as being hastily thrown together without any added production value and thought nothing more of it. Well, I was wrong. Fast forward to 2016 and I was listening to "Floral Shoppe" at work on a regular basis. I got really into vaporwave and future funk and released a few EPs as DJ Scratchin' before switching to hardcore. Even though it gets a bad rep, vaporwave is still an important part of my life and I'd like to personally thank Vektroid for making it better.
