This is a demo track for a brand new synth plugin by Plogue Art & Technologie from Montreal. This one is called OPS-7 and emulates a Yamaha DX7. Since I'm accustomed to use the YM2612, this was a nice upgrade.

i've been excited knowing that Plogue's been working on a bit-accurate SID chip emulation, and it's everything i could have hoped for.

This piece uses sounds only from Chipsynth C64 presets. Amazing.

I have wanted to make a Genesis/Mega Drive DnB tune for a while, so the convenience of having THAT sound in a plugin is extremely appealing!
Of course all the sounds are heavily processed, but everything except the percussion loops and FX (impacts, wooshes, etc.) come from the plugin!

Also includes an easter egg for fans music memes!

La Pause Ludomusicale part d'un concept très simple : vous proposer chaque jour une écoute commentée d'un morceau tiré d'un jeu par un nouvel intervenant. Les points de vue sont à chaque fois différents et varient donc de jour en jour, ils peuvent aller du simple ressenti général à l'analyse musicale plus poussée. 

Pour cette première saison, nous partons sur un thème dont beaucoup ont besoin en ce moment : la relaxation. Qu'est-ce qui fait qu'une musique nous détend ? A défaut de répondre avec précision à cette question, nous allons vous présenter chaque jour une piste que nous trouvons agréable, en décryptant les raisons de ce ressenti.

Pour démarrer, c'est Fanny Rebillard ( @cactuceratops) qui vous parle de la piste "Yoga" de WiiFit. Un morceau qui a tout du parfait exercice de relaxation, mais qui cache des spécificités très intéressantes. Un travail signé Toru Minegishi, Manaka Tominaga et Shiho Fuji.
