pocket universe is a study in digital absurdity: the wander and the collapse of the internet, the fragile psychosis of intimacy through glass and screen.

the work begins in a post-covid landscape, moving through nostalgia, trauma, guilt, and longing. distortion iterates restlessness here: saturation, ambience, and fractured textures iterate fragments of identity, shifting between sombre reflection and elivened glitch.

to listen is to enter a continuum between soundtrack and rupture: ambient, hyper-trap, chiptune genres conceived not beside the digital world, but within it.

at its heart is a darker question: what happens when the technological landscape fuses with the human soul? when memory is replaced by monitoring, and love by online surveillance? relationships flicker, wounding without ever fully existing in lived space.

conceived between 2021–2024, pocket universe invites an open mind to dissolve into that heartbreaking signal, surrendering to the unstable poetics of electronic music.

christopher anthony is a composer, producer and artist from south west london. anthony’s experimental- electronic project “chir_on” was conceived in early 2021 to make sense of the mutable and dynamic landscape of digital information and internet language. the music surrounding the chir_on project focuses on trauma, events, and processes that happen within the digital world and how these then relay into a very human sense of feeling. anthony, therefore, seeks to find an emotional depth within the synthesis of distorted electronic music, combining this with a more ambient, cinematic soundscape. ultimately, chir_on’s ambition is one of collective reflection on how we each fuse with technology and how this alters human emotion, spirit and language.
