It has been busy months for Chi Thanh and after he remixed Booka Shade and Deux
Tigres on Mood Music and also after releasing a few Beatport smashes, Chi Thanh returns with his next solo EP: RAIN.

The first song “Let It Rain“ takes us on a melancholic and mysterious journey where
clubbers are encouraged to “let go of the past and let the rain wash away the pain“.
After a deep intro and the anthemic breakdown the song erupts in a techno-synth
frenzy while still maintaining a dark and rainy feel.

The second track “No One Else“ is a groovy percussive tech-house song which also
takes a turn in the breakdown, where deep vocals meet an acid-synth and melt
together in a techy final showdown.

The final track of the EP is a collaboration of Chi Thanh with his good friend and
labelmate Florian Kruse of Kruse & Nuernberg fame.

Together they stir up a “tech-funk“ track which lets the listeners hang on a crazy weird synth-line for a few minutes until the song erupts in a funky bass-heavy tech groove that takes no prisoners!

This RAIN EP is a worthy follow-up to his successful last EP STONE and takes things to the next level for all parties involved.

Miura Keys teams up with fellow berlin­based singer Sofi de la Torre for the single “Ominous”.

Sofi’s sultry vocals fit perfectly over the deep and atmospheric house beats of Miura Keys. The synths, guitars and especially the main catchy “bell melody” create a sensual counterpart to Sofi’s voice, while she sings about a very emotional and “ominous” experience she has with someone....

Chi Thanh returns to Booka Shade's Blaufield imprint this August with his new single 'Xin Chao' (which means 'Hello' in vietnamese). 
Berlin based Chi Thanh has experience on the international club and dance music scene having performed around the world alongside the likes of Booka Shade, Tale Of Us and Radio Slave to name a few as well as releasing on Diynamic Music, Blaufield, Get Physical and Stone Free Berlin which has led to regular support from the likes of Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show, Kolsch and many leading publications in the underground electronic music scene. 
His last release was a collaboration with acclaimed producer Robot Koch (Monkeytown, Moderat) which was heavily supported by Solomun and was released on his label DIYnamic Music. 
'Xin Chao' commences with a thumping kick drum and organic and tribal percussion before bass heavy synth drones and metallic atmospherics unfold, generating tension in this high energy cut. CHI THANH goes back to his Asian roots by featuring a traditional Asian Zither Instrument in the main part, while tastefully combining musical analogue elements with current club-ready beats.

After the vocal peak the song keeps going with trippy glide bass synths and has some tricky “fullstop - break & interruptions” to keep the dancers on their toes.

But just like in the “classic Blues-song” tradition the song still aims to give hope, a voice to the voiceless and to share solace so people can still find shelter and peace during hard times….

Musically the song starts with acoustic guitars until the deep house groove sets in and some percussion loops start to shimmer around. The emotional vocal starts telling the story and the warm and melancholic feeling takes over. The hookline “What’s A Man To Do” keeps repeating and in the breakdown the mood becomes empty and a sad vocal choir begins to chant until the climax in the end with added pads and strings, where the singer Ben exclaims all his pain and frustration.
