The F. R. of 1789 is considered one of the most important political-social turning points in European history. It abolished the absolutist rule and the prerogatives of the nobility and the church and replaced them with the bourgeoisie. The reason for the F. R. were profound social and economic grievances (famines, insolvency of the Internal Link:State es). The French National Assembly, which adopted the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen in 1789, was the supporting element of the F. R. In 1793, the goals of the F. R. were summed up in the demand for Internal Link:Liberty , Internal Link:Equality , Fraternity (Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité) and became a slogan that was carried far beyond FRA and had an impact in almost all European states. The ban on the slogan in the Prussian Rhine provinces continues to have an effect today in the civic carnival and the magic number ELF (Égalité, Liberté, Fraternité), which could not be banned: Why else should the revolt of the fools (= citizens) always start on 11.11. at 11 o'clock 11?

The Smoking Trout collaborative is back with another installment in the story of the Quest for the Holy Dumpling! On this one, me, Jeff, Uziel, and Stephen are joined by Tot for the first time. He sent us an awesome beat to serve as the rhythmic backbone to this new song. Then Stephen totally funkified it with guitar, Uziel gave a stellar performance on vocals with some original lyrics, and Jeff and I contributed just the right amount of weirdness.   This song began its life as a composition that JJ wrote one evening on the piano and synth. He also wrote the lyrics and sings this one. He was very excited to share it with us, so he invited me, Ken, Stephen and Tez into the project immediately after finishing. However, we couldn't make the thing work at first, so JJ went back and retooled it, streamlined it, and gave it back to us. We all really liked the Floydiness of the groove, and his signature psychedelic coda ending. 
  After Ken had laid down his inspired, foundational  drums, I laid down my bass part with my big monster five-string bass, which is good for really low tones. Then it was Tez's turn. He came up with something very Gilmore-esque, with his always exciting leads throughout the first section. Stephen then added some brilliant, filling acoustic guitar to the first section. He, along with Tez, also added some trippy electric guitar to the coda. Finally, Josh just thought it needed something to push the coda over the edge, so he added the slide at the end, too.
  Then, of course, we asked Stephen to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his always expert way. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. Also, we wish a very happy New Year to everyone!

I started with music in the 60s. I was part of several bands.
While my blood boiled to the rhythm of the best Rock & Roll, a tsunami called The Beatles came from Liverpool. That tide lasted twenty years during which the best musicians of the 20th century appeared.
I was there !!!
In the mid-seventies I completely abandoned music. I didn't play a single note for the next fifty years. And now, a little older, I play music in my studio again with more enthusiasm than ever. I think I never should have left it... It gives me life.....
Thank you all, friends, for taking part of your precious time to listen to my humble noises...
