TECTONIC SHIFT FESTIVAL 2023 ✨

CHIXY GUAP, aka Kelsey Shirriff, is a Global Club DJ who channels her sound from the trapical ratchetverse! 

A fan of heavy bass, fresh world sounds and 🎶 that generally makes you go “DAAMMMMNNN," she has a highly intuitive way of keeping the room bumpin' with a variety of genres. 

Since starting her DJ career in 2021, she's already garnered enough attention to play legendary venues and festivals across the US, Mexico, and abroad.

CHIXY is originally from the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN, where hot music is the only thing that keeps people warm in the cold. Kelsey's also been privileged to travel extensively and her selects reflect the wide range of sounds and voices she’s been exposed to. 

She’s particularly fond of femme-forward rap, music in Spanish and Portuguese, sounds from the African Diaspora, and basically anything underground that makes your chest vibrate. 

She also worked the Amphitheater Stage at Shambala Music Festival for several years and been influenced by dozens of up-and-coming bass connoisseurs and legends alike.

Sophisticated Delinquency is excited to unveil "Essa Mi Boujee," a trap remix of Migos' "Bad & Boujee" by CHIXY GUAP, globally acclaimed club DJ and producer. This release marks CHIXY's first remix, blending Portuguese/Baile Funk with trap rhythms.

CHIXY GUAP, originating from Minneapolis and now based between Portland and Mexico City, is celebrated for her dynamic sets across genres. "Essa Mi Boujee" exemplifies her skill in merging heavy bass with global sounds, proven to energize dancefloors.

Since 2021, CHIXY has performed at major festivals and venues, including Burning Man and Tectonic SHIFT Festival. This remix, inspired by her unique sound and a nod to C. Tangana, promises to be a significant addition to her repertoire.

DAY PARTY! it was a massive honor to play the Living Room Stage on Sunday at 3pm at Shambhala! 🛋️  this place holds so much meaning and history for me - i first attended Sham in 2015 & worked at the Amp Stage for 3 summers. it's where I truly fell in love with bass music and the rave community, so returning 10 years later as an artist was nothing short of magical. ✨
