Emerging as artist of note for both now and the future, Chlär continues to craft and shape his sound as he curates his own high-octane approach to techno. Combining dynamic performances taking in three and four deck mixes with his own up front productions and his talents as a former mastering engineer, the Swiss talent has become a respected name amongst his peers. After releases on Lobster Theremin and his own Bipolar Disorder imprint, the Berlin-based DJ, producer and label boss heads to SHDW & Obscure Shape’s blooming label Mutual Rytm to deliver six precise and powerful cuts across his ‘Optimized Groove’ EP.

“As the names states, ‘Optimized grooves’ is a collection of tracks designed to match specific parts of the event/night. From ‘Night Genesis’ at the origin of the night through to tracks like ‘Maximum Performance’, a peak time bomb, and ‘Spirit Enhancer’ - an uplifting and warm production elevating individuals to higher labels after hours of spiritual connection’” - Chlär

Opener ‘Early Morning Acceleration’ sets the tone early and dives into a looping ride through slinking hats and bustling arrangements - combining classic influences with forward thinking touches to reveal a dynamic slice of techno. Next, ‘Maximum Performance’ fuses swelling low-ends, sharp percussion and vibrant leads, while ‘Love Blaster’ delivers an all out fiesta armed with rolling drums, sharp whistles and rich chords. On the flip, B1 ‘Night Genesis’ sees hypnotic loopy vocals balanced by tough kicks and luminous synths, before ‘Spirit Enhancer’ showcases a soulful trip as resonant electronics work around the track’s tunnelling groove. The digital EP comes with a bonus exclusive production in ‘Synaptic Discussion’, a euphoric and impactful closer which brings things to a close firmly in the peak time hours.

SHDW & Obscure Shape and their “Mutual Rytm" imprint celebrating a first year anniversary with an outstanding 3 vinyls pack as their tenth release to date and the second instalment of their "Federation of Rytm" compilation series.

Being the buzzing German producers most prestigious project to date, their musical philosophy of "modern old school techno", has been backed up by some of their favorite artists out there, from well-established to new upcoming producers, all contributing their music to take part in one of the most highlighted releases of the new year. The compilation features 22 tracks: 18 cuts spread over 3 vinyls covered with the label's neat artwork signature, and 4 digital bonus tracks. This and more, sum up the musical vision of the German duo, going between early hours to peak time anthems and in between previously known artists to the label and new appearances of new talents, all together, symbolized by different generations and areas of techno-based music, backed up with the label head honchos SHDW & Obscure Shape's wide community following, marking the calendar for an exciting game changer release set for February 2023.

To shape modern-day sound while paying homage to the old days. An ethos that has always been at the core of Frenzy as a community, event organizer, and record label. Through this second VA release, Frenzy seeks to extend its exploration of the ‘now’ and the ‘then’ with a double vinyl release with no less than 12 tracks representing their trademark sound. Buckle up - it’s time to step into the time machine of speed and light.

The vibey A-side starts with a bang by the dynamic Swiss/Italian duo Funk Assault (Chlär & Alarico) followed by uplifting, lighthearted productions by Amsterdam’s finest Undivulged and Lobster. On the B-side, local talent Levzon kicks it off with a playful melody-led groover, while Nicolas Vogler gets into the rhythmic drums and Ruiz OSC1 delivers an aquatic dub workout.

Heavyweight TWR72 introduces the C-side in full effect with a hypnotic, driving tension builder, followed by a wonky looped-out production by Hemka. Insolate is the perfect final addition to this side with a steady minimalist puncher for the in-between energy shifts. The D-side takes off at stellar speed with Cravo, raising the peak hour pressure. Jannik Abfalg channels the energy to more bright scenery as ANNĒ completes the record in style with a vocal-induced trip through early morning dancefloor freshness.

To go full circle, the release is accompanied by four digital-only bonus tracks by none other than Antic Soul, Edvvin, JSPRV35, and Hyden. Productions balance in-between stripped-down rhythms and heavy-duty rollers, showcasing what Frenzy is all about. The full digital album comes for free with the purchase of the vinyl release.

ONI is happy to present it's new Y series which is going to mainly focus on the 90's to early 00's Techno era.

The series will be an outlet for label head Danny Wabbit to showcase his productions inspired by the Y generation.

The first track, "Don't F*** With My Energy," is a high-energy anthem that combines driving percussion, distorted Acid lines, and a powerful vocal sample. It embodies the fierce independence and resilience that characterized the early techno era.

The second track, "Gotta Kill Bill," is a nod to the iconic martial arts film and its soundtrack. Its intense bassline, sharp hi-hats, and eerie synth create a tense and suspenseful atmosphere, this track showcases the influence of soundtrack music on early techno.

The final track, "Pacer," is a homage to the futuristic sounds of the early 90s. Its hypnotic synth, swirling pads, and pounding beat create a pulsating energy that transports listeners to another dimension. This track shows how early techno was deeply influenced by futurism.
