Anytime I'm in any sort of liminal space I either make a mix that reflects my mood or provides a soundtrack that lets me dance through it. I am incredibly grateful for life, DJing and house music. I'm also grateful for anyone who cares to listen to the mixes I create. In celebration of another turn around the sun this is relic 3, a dance mix by yours truly <3

At this point you could almost call this a FederFunk appreciation channel. This week he's got a few entries, and honestly half these tracks came from his current chart on Traxsource (thanks brother).

Future Wave is a collaborative project between So Future and New Wave serving as a dedicated platform to showcase the evolution and diversity of Electronic music, with a special focus on finding and amplifying talented emerging DJs and well-seasoned established talent alike. Jovella is a San Diego based DJ, and a small but mighty force to be reckoned with. She pulls inspiration and practices self expression through music, event curation, fashion, advocacy, and other creative mediums. Her live DJ sets are typically composed of upbeat, high energy electronic music that gets the dance floor sweating, smiling, and savoring the moment. 

In this mix, she sheds light on the softer and more vulnerable side to herself and her USB. By incorporating melodic, dreamy, and emotional breaks and other genres that speak to the soul, she illustrates the ebb and flow of emotions and how music has the power to transcend healing and growth. Sitting with and authentically expressing sensitivity and softness is a source of strength, and this heartfelt mix aims to embody and encourages listeners to embrace that.
