"Starlight" is about the lingering effects of emotional abuse and trauma from a toxic relationship. In the "Starlight" (i.e. 2am, 3am) when you can't fall asleep and are being haunted by the PTSD from the abuse you endured and/or are enduring. I endured such abuse and now use music to process that pain. I love Juice Wrld's "Lucid Dreams," and that was the inspiration for "Starlight!"

Getting ghosted, betrayal and broken promises are all too common these days and singer songwriter Chlo E. unleashes all that pain and angst with her latest single Never Met You. Mining her emotional depths as she too was deceived by a potential lover, the song swings between feeling everything and feeling nothing.
Never Met You tells the intimate tale of Chlo E. experiencing that feeling of being duped in the online dating game. Suffering that feeling of despondency and despair at being progressively abandoned, she recorded her story in a daily journal which inspired the lyrics behind the single.  
The song is a process for Chlo E and is a topic that many have sadly endured. The message is that you can get to the other side. The pain is just momentary and your strength is always there to support you through the worst of times. You are not an island and it is music from artists like Chlo E. which will keep you sane as you discover rock bottom. Without the downs, you will never experience the ups.

for years I was trapped, trauma-bonded to a total narcissist. i let someone completely break me. i was in agony, in love with someone who was emotionally abusing me. i was lied to, manipulated, devalued, and called crazy. my entire reality had been twisted and distorted. my sense of self worth was gone, and i was left wondering who i even was. during quarantine, my bro and i put words and melodies to those emotional wounds. this song set me free and i hope it does that for you!
