"Cold Gettin 'Dumb" is a club concept run by DJ Breakneck and Don Lom, which has mainly taken place at Ingensteds in Oslo. It originates from a common interest in drum machine-funk and electro. Anything from 80's rap with loads of reverb, to limping boogie, digital reggae, jackin' acid and ghetto, to dirty south rap and juke, with plenty of curveball's of course.

We are almost out the other side of this insane year, and we at GGHQ hope that you are all safe and sound. The music never stops, and we hope that our friends have all found some solace and enjoyment through the simple acts of listening, discovering & sharing. 

We're super happy to see out 2020 with this, our last mix of the year. We couldn't be in better hands to be honest. Øyvind is a top selector, producer, remixer and he is one of those DJ's who is beyond versatile. He just knows music inside and out and is a formidable talent in the booth... genre and sounds are no barriers to him and his own style is unmatched. A longtime former resident at Oslo's clubbing institution JAEGER, Øyvind held down Wednesday nights there for a decade plus welcoming a host of global DJ luminaries and tastemakers into his zone. 

Here we find Øyvind in a relaxed mood, combing his impressive collection for more spaced out and downtempo grooves, offering a deep selection to soothe and get lost in. We're really pleased to present this lovely mix to you from our friend and someone who we feel is a true talent out there in the vast world of music we all inhabit. Mr Telephones pumps up the pace, jumping drastically from his last downtempo-oriented "Point Breaks / Beach Breaks" EP. This time closing in on the 150bpm mark, with the raw pump of "Blue-Tek", a funky oddball-roller hybridizing ghettotech, detroit soul, balearic and italo house. Flip wax for the trippy soundscapey ambient techno-trip "FV555", speeding through a hazy highway, with the forest on one side, and ocean on the other. Both sides neatly wrapped up with trippy reprise-versions. Pressed at 45 for max flex!
