On the 1st of May, NATMAC headlined the Choki Biki Records Open Deck Party in the newly revamped Wiley Fox. This mix features an eclectic mix of UK Garage, Breakbeat, Drum & Bass and Jungle, reflecting the Dublin based label’s sound perfectly and for one night, turned the usually casual venue into a rammed rave.  The energy is high, the music is varied, and the bass is booming!

Choki Biki Records returns with a belter of a release! Bristolian producer ‘Neil And I’ has supplied us with a 3 
track Melodic Breaks EP; Lover! The producer returns with his signature style of incorporating 80’s sounding pop vocals over a barrage of 90’s Breakbeat and Jungle Rhythms. Having gained support on the likes of BBC Radio 1 for his magnificent ‘Nobody Else’ last year, the young producer has propelled himself forward into the bustling Bristol bass scene, having secured a residency at one of the city’s most popular clubs; Lakota. The ‘Lover’ EP is a prime example of all the things familiar with the Dublin based label, Choki Biki Records. Definitely do not miss out on this release!

November's DDR show featured a guest mix from Seems Legit's Eddie Galavan. Eddie treated us to an hour of deep, spacey electro and bass influenced breaks.

Seems Legit! was started in the summer of 2017 by founder Eddie Galavan. Having being involved with different events in the Waterford/Kilkenny area for over 17 years, Eddie decided to start up his own party in Waterford City based in the now closed arts space Central Arts. Over the time period between 2017 to 2019 before covid hit Seems Legit! hosted guests such as Cailin, John Heckle, David Vunk, Lee Holman, Ikeaboy, Tr One, Dj Wool, Prosumer, Lee Kelly to name but a few. After some time, a record label was started up with the first release coming from Ikeaboy titled Syncardia and a second EP is due in 2023 from Casper Hasting. A sub label focusing on the less dancefloor orientated sounds called Off The Beaten Track was launched during covid with its first release coming from Akari.

Eddie is also no stranger to djing himself and has been involved in the Irish dance scene since the late 90's/early 00's having played gigs in that time to the present day across the country and further afield in clubs and streams in Berlin, London, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Nijmegen on the likes of Red Light Radio, HÖR, Pattern, Melodic Distraction, Open Source Radio, Mission.

Medallion Man is co-founder, resident, and the driving force behind Loose Lips. Since its launch in October 2014, he has directed its growth into a well-respected and ever-ambitious diverse musical platform; curating events, label releases, charity work, mix series, video content, radio shows and directing the blog's activities.

His own DJing continues to blossom, gaining a reputation for tempo-spanning and intriguing mixing; bringing together influences of rave culture and abstract electronics. His bookings have taken him on American & European tours, as well as regular gigs across the UK.

He first started playing on the radio, developing a unique take on experimental and electronic music, incorporating regular interviews. Animating several shows on different stations during the last 10 years, he regularly offers listeners 2 hours of exploration.

Back in April 2017, his radio passion was the basis starting his own station, a community project called 199Radio which quickly grew into a thriving, internationally recognised project. This then evolved into Threads Radio which launched in Jan 2019, a platform still now going strong; focused on ‘threading together’ a range of cutting edge music, art and discussion.
