When J.S. Bach began working on his epic Well-Tempered Clavier in 1722, chances are he wasn't thinking that it would become one of the defining musical texts in keyboard history. But, somehow, it has - and the Prelude No. 1 in C Major is where it all starts.

The Well-Tempered Clavier (there are two volumes of it, each containing a prelude and a fugue in each musical key) kicks off in C Major, the most 'natural' musical key, so he obviously made sure that the first entry is a good one. Few pieces of keyboard music sound so delicate and fragile, but there's a very Bach-ian stability to it as well. 

It's a strikingly simple piece to begin with, gently phasing through different chords and registers, but it's one of those pieces that demands to be tinkered with. Consequently, you'll hear plenty of different interpretations of this much-loved work.

Frédéric Chopin - Waltz In B Minor, Op.69 No.2 (No.10) (Orchestrated Version)

Spontaneously improvised this classical piano solo tune at the morning of this last day of summer of 2025.

For this improvisation I’ve used: Scoring Piano from FluffyAudio + Brainworx townhouse compressor + Relab LX480 reverb. I think Scoring Piano is really my most favorite piano because I can feel a very warm and still emotional vibe while playing on this beautiful piano. Brainworx compressor and LX480 reverb gives a soft and a bit retro-analog sound which I really enjoy.

Frédéric François Chopin was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era, widely regarded as one of the greatest masters of piano music. Born on March 1, 1810, in Żelazowa Wola, Poland, Chopin showed prodigious talent from an early age, performing in Warsaw's salons by the age of seven.

At the age of 20, Chopin left Poland, eventually settling in Paris, which became his creative home. Despite his fragile health, he became a central figure in the city's vibrant artistic circles, forming lasting relationships with luminaries like Franz Liszt, George Sand (his lover and muse), and other leading artists of the time.

Chopin's compositions are celebrated for their lyrical beauty, innovative harmonies, and technical brilliance. His works for solo piano include 21 nocturnes, 24 preludes, 27 études, 4 ballades, and 2 piano concertos, as well as numerous waltzes, polonaises, and mazurkas that reflect his deep connection to Polish folk music. A deeply expressive and introspective artist, Chopin’s music bridges the gap between classical traditions and the emotive Romantic spirit. His compositions are characterized by a delicate balance of virtuosity and poetic depth, earning him the nickname "the poet of the piano."

Chopin's health deteriorated in his later years due to tuberculosis, and he passed away on October 17, 1849, at the age of 39. His legacy endures, influencing generations of composers and pianists. Today, his works remain beloved by audiences worldwide, a tribute to his unparalleled contribution to classical music.
