After an 8 week Radio Broadcasting course at the Byron Community College, dedicating 2 hours per week to their dream of becoming a presenter/podcaster, these three students present what they have learned during a 30 minute end of course presentation in the studios of BayFM.

The short film is set in Mullumbimby’s Community Garden where you’ll witness a group of children reconnecting with nature, forging bonds, understanding their roles in the larger ecosystem, and experiencing the magic of hands-on learning. 

A testament to the transformative power of returning to our root’s, a journey that shines a spotlight on the resilience of the human spirit and the undying bond we share with Mother Earth.

Today I’m feeling to play a whole bunch of world grooves. I love the collaborations and musical styles that entwine and exist in the world today in celebration of cultures colliding in all manner of sublime sounds. 

We begin our musical adventure in Cairo with the track Alladin Dub from The Spy from Cairo before heading to Sierra Leone and the sounds of blind musician and finger piano player Sonie Kondi who teams up with US producer DJ Chief Boina on the track Yeanoh to kick us off on Chopsuey this cookin' afternoon in the Bundjalung Bay.
