Chord K (a.k.a Khalid F. Al Balushi) is without a qualm the most creative and imaginative prospects on the trance & progressive scene in the Middle East region.
Khalid lives in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. At the beginning of his music career and at the tender age of 16, Khalid was trained as a classical guitarist. Khalid met with a bunch of other friends decided to form a band which was later known as "Los Andlos". The band played a variety of music styles, primarily focusing on Rhumba Flamenco.
Although trained for a completely different genre, Khalid loves EDM music began almost in parallel to his passion for Rhumba where he began to listen to and collect progressive and trance records at an early age of 16 when people around knew very little about this style/ genre of music.
Fast forward a few years, Khalid's passion for electronic music flourished even further and he started DJing under the "Black n White" moniker. However, he always had his eyes firmly set on production, fiddling with different DAWs and synthesizers on his corporate laptops during office breaks. The tunes of Black n White evolved and became more complex with time securing them numerous global releases through several international record labels.
In addition to music production, Black n White hosts the first ever weekly trance show in town on 95.9 HiFM (hifmradio.com).
So life is looking good for Chord K right now.
