Twentyonepilots - Guns for hands (Remix Cover)

Coming back from Germany for a few days, I decided to have my friend Sway over with her recording gear to record a few pieces. A few problems: a piano that wasn't so suited for recording (wheezing pedal, bright hollow tone), an environment that wasn't so suited for recording (we are talking cat meows and chit chatting neighbors) and not enough mics (To cover up the piano's bright tone).

The purpose of the recordings are just to have fun. It took an hour to record Kapustin's Concert etude but only a few minutes to record Rachmaninov's prelude. The night before Sway came over because we needed to record Sunday morning (quietest time of the week) but we ended up sleeping at 4 and waking up at 6.30.

Epic Rouge - Please Don't Go (Mike Posner Cover with Swayz)

This orchestral piece draws inspiration from the Bruneian folk song Adai-Adai. I tried to make the malay influence obvious using different timbres like the bass clarinet slap tonguing and the interplay between the flutes in the middle section. Anyways, I had much fun composing this one!
