Chosen Ones are a four piece reggae band from Melbourne Australia that infuse their sound with island reggae and R&B subtleties. If Third World and Stevie Wonder had ever been shipwrecked on a desert island in the Pacific, the music may have sounded something like Chosen Ones. 

The message is that life here on earth is short, but also beautiful. That each day, like each human being, is different, but also perfect. That our world becomes paradise, when fear fades before the truth.

Jason Heerah, Chosen Ones producer, lead singer and drummer, hails from internationally respected soul outfit 'Electric Empire'. He has toured the world extensively and is one of the most in demand drummer/vocalists around. Keeping it rocksteady on the bass is Patrick Kilby, formerly from 'Red Eyes', the most toured Dub/Reggae act in Australia. John Delord (Dr Pump) supplies the heartbeat on keyboards, fresh from touring duties with 'True Live' at Sakifo, one of the largest festivals in the Indian Ocean. Stuart Perera, longtime axeman for ARIA award winning legend Dave Graney, blazes it up on guitar.

One of the first sega songs that grabbed my attention to this infectious beat The Sega. I was about 9 y.o. when I heard this played in Mauritius by Toto Lebrasse and his Kanasuc group at Le Touessrok in Mauritius, and from then on I was hooked.
