Less J, productor original de L'Hospitalet comenzó su pasión por la música a temprana edad. Influenciado por su hermano mayor desde joven, ha seguido formando y madurando su gusto musical donde entra de todo: Deep House, House Detroit, Jazz, Broken... En los últimos años empezó a producir, sacando sus primeras referencias en sellos como LH Strikes, Sound Society o Rhythm Control, y actualmente está trabajando en su propio sello Law Heart Récords. A través del mismo, Less J ha revolucionado el panorama del House nacional con su EP "Secuela Gentetica", el cual destaca por una fuerte influencia del Jazz y el sonido orgánico.

You always can guarantee with a release from Dubbyman that not only will you get music with gorgeous depth and warmth, but also an EP that is versatile and generous as he often includes other musicians and producers in his projects. The Alpha Transmissions EP a long-awaited project is no exception with Dubbyman bringing his deep house and laid-back breakbeat style to Inner Shift Music. To our delight it also features label owners Brad P and Rai Scott. We last saw Dubbyman (along with Above Smoke) on Inner Shift on remix duties for the .Mahal. Space Space release where Inner Shift and Deep Explorer teamed up for 'the joint venture'. This versatile EP with its mix of deep house and downtempo breakbeat tracks includes contributions from talented musicians, collaboration, and remixes. 

As a bonus there are also two additional remixes of the A2 track 'In the Space' from label owners Brad P and Rai Scott respectively that are available as digital bonus tracks. If you buy the EP from the label’s website or Bandcamp page, the full digital EP with the two extra tracks is included.

Olivia Meek is a Canadian producer who, perhaps contrary to your preconceived notions, has been steadily releasing music since the beginning of this decade. With her Regularfantasy project, Meek has been dialing in a potent blend of hypnagogic vocal house for years, even if she has only just begun to acquire the kind of wider support and gigging opportunities that, in this industry, are often reserved for each week’s “hot new thing”. 

Though opportunities have indeed seemed to follow her in the wake of 2018’s Sublets and Sunsets, Meek has stayed true to a signature style since at least 2013’s Slow Release—a release born of a time when many now-dormant 100% Silk artists were receiving more acclaim for similarly flavored work. 

Her recent work, like the rest of her catalog, shows a fluidity of approach often present in the work of close friend D. Tiffany, but her singing is what really separates her from her peers—in a “genre” often geared toward texture and vibe, Meek has continued to frequently deploy her voice as the focal point of her idiosyncratic sound. Meek spoke with us about her evolving approach to track-craft, her relationship with VST’s, and the the creative value of rice cakes in a frank, sincere interview featured below.
