AZMYTH

Def'n: Direction without control – which refers to always heading in a forwards direction while maintaining openess as to influences and ideas. 

With musical influences starting at a young age through vocal training and learning saxaphone and then guitar, Azmyth has his musical roots firmly planted in hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, dub & reggae. Then upon discovering breakbeat at a festival in 2003 he quickly emersed himself in a world of drum & bass. 

After a 5 year stint while studying in Dunedin, Azmyth has been lucky enough to share the decks with the likes of Nero, Logistics, Datsik, Teknik, Organikismness and Nanotek. Has held a  regular    Dubstep and Drum & Bass night at Bath St Nightclub, Bass Deliverence. Has been invited a number of times as a guest DJ on Radio 1's Dubstep Allstars show. and managed and organised  Open Air Festival 2010 in the Bay of Islands, Northland.
