Written and recorded over the course of many months 'The Suicide Box' is about authoritarian arrogance and tells the stories of several characters living in an impoverished communist island nation. 
In a misguided attempt to cut costs, reduce crime and alleviate a famine exacerbated by a booming population the government enacts a law that financially rewards the families of criminals who commit suicide. However, the regime fails to grasp just how desperate its citizens are and in a devastating miscalculation inadvertently incentivizes violent crime as previously unassuming mothers and fathers resort to murder and suicide in the hope that their children might have a better future.
