After wetting the appetites of his legions of fans with the gummy trap vibrations of Mt Moon, John "Sable" Dewhurst let's his Pokemon obsession bubble to the surface on two brand new tracks straight from the underground of Kanto, Thunderwave & Surf. Both tracks vocalled by the eerie vocaloid machine, childlike voices float over earth shaking drums that would crush any club systems they're unleashed upon, but with enough sunshine injected to make for one hell of a head phone party too.

Always one for the positive vibes, Surf echoes with a promise to "catch you" and be there "anytime you need", as Thunderwave begs to "take your hand". As the Australian Summer comes around once more, and as clubland starts to heat up, there's nobody turning the temperature gauge to full quite like Sable.

Eclectic experimental music made on iOS.

Seawave is the name I’ve given my style of music as it combines elements of seapunk, chillwave and vaporwave. I’m also influenced by various hip hop styles, trip hop, house, synthpop/synthwave, IDM and future bass. Musical artists who influence me include Washed Out, Tycho, Boards Of Canada, Slow Magic, Snail’s House, Gold Panda, Com Truise and Vince Dolphin.

I am conceptually inspired by seapunk/vaporwave imagery, sea/space exploration, the avant-garde, minimalism, hauntology and Japanese aestheticism. My interests include linguistics, chemistry, aesthetics, animation, world-building and, of course, music. It is also noteworthy to mention that I am a brony since 2012, an otaku since 2016, a lifelong music fanatic and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ since 1999.
