I wrote this fiddle tune two years ago, when things in America seemed hopeless.  It was a wish, thrown up with a prayer.  Since then, my dreams appear to have been answered.

I am multitracking on my new Scarlet2i2 to see how the mic and audioface work together with my iMac.  This is the first recording, totally uneditted or enhanced, just the raw sound into the mic.......which is clamped to a stool{:-))  Pretty primitive setup, but it works.

My pal Marty lives way up at th top of Oregon.  We haven't seen each other in a couple of years, but can still share our music playing together.  He sent a recording of his playing of this tune on the clawhammer banjo.  I added a guitar and two fiddle tracks.  Sounds like we are partying in the same room.  Throw back the rug, hug your partner, and take them for a romp around the room{:-))

My best pal Jonnie, a five year old tabby cat who has been my shadow and constant companion, had an accident and had to have a rear leg amputated.  He is doing well and will be back home soon.  I composed this tune for him.    I made this four part track spontaneously on three fiddles and a guitar, all of which I made in my shop with Jonnie by my side.
