El Rudo Del House is an imaginary creature who speaks to you with a pitched-down voice and produces heavy house rhythms that are engineered to directly trigger the movement of different body parts (body mechanics). His music resonates with the rhythms of everyday life: produced by big iron apparatuses that cross the sky, by voices that yell through speakers in giant halls, by machines of border security and control, the thinly clipped nagging noise of internet spam coming out of unpleasantly limited computer speakers… El Rudo del House gets rid of all elements that are not made to move your body by:

Shouting out Agarrate que vai a salir volando! (Hang on, or you gonna fly off!)
Warning you that There’s an elephant in your House!
Teaching you a dance that is called El Volcanico (The Volcanic).
Declaring the disco to be Tomada! (Taken over!).
El Rudo Del House takes over the club and reclaims its space for the dancers!

For Clandestino's fifth offering Berlin's Italiano in residence José Manuel drops his unique strain of exotic club music; once again exploring deep, ritualistic and 
tribal influences to great dramatic effect. "Human Behaviour" is a woozy nine minute opus. Rich in atmospherics, chanting and ethnic flutes. Clandestino's remix refines the track for the dance-floor, retaining the atmosphere and injecting a driving 303 line and jamming Afro keys. Upping the tempo on Bangalore a great ethnic guitar hook drives along the groove while disorienting chants and tribal percussion flutter underneath. Mushroom's Project turn out an essential blissful sundown version by extending out the pads and adding gentle warm keys.

This new release confirms its impeccable and eclectic taste and vision to the music - brilliant blend of cosmic krautrock, experimental rock, psychedelic road trip into the mind of Ashinoa, band project leaded by Chris Poincelot aka Abschaum. Grand Marabout of the Dark Disco tribe, Kevin Pinenq-Vidal aka Baka Bakqa exercises the dancefloors with his magic waves: New Wave, Cold Wave, Dark Wave, Synthwave, Post-Punk, EBM, Indie-Dance and Italo Disco are amongst his favourite genres.

His spells are the remnants of his fascination with the '80s culture, they make him a committed artist of the Goth scene and resolutely the dance scene. Founder and Artistic Director of Gouter de Nuit (Paris), he is also a resident of Ceremony NWPP.

In just 3 years of DJing, he has created the alliance of the Parisian local scene along with international collaborations with labels like Mange Moi (Paris), Nein Records (London/Berlin), and more recently Controlla (Mexico City). 

He has been currently working on the official French release of the very promising Critical Monday label founded by Damon Jee and Bonnie Spacey (supported by Demian, Curses, Alvaro Cabana, Jennifer Cardini, Zombies in Miami, Younger Than Me and many others).

For such solid projects, Baka Bakqa wishes to develop a more immersive dimension in his events, with themes connecting the world of science fiction and occultism with the art of the table specific to the language of Gouter de Nuit (Gouter: an afternoon snack eaten by children).

Notice to fans of DJ sets: his spectrum of rhythm ranges from 70 to 180 BPM and embarks you on a journey across darkness, melancholia, nostalgia, poetry and assumed intensity!

Three emotional years in the making, Be With and Efficient Space finally present Steve Hiett’s Girls In The Grass. Pressed alongside the long awaited reissue of his one-shot masterpiece Down On The Road By The Beach, these ten balearic soul instrumentals are of equal necessity; unrivalled beauty rescued from the fashion photographer-guitarist’s Paris Tapes (1986-1997).

While recordings unintended for release should often be approached with caution, this is a rare case of unheard material being assembled as an indispensable and coherent piece. Girls In The Grass is something super special. The light and shadow that defines Hiett’s music is arguably more compelling here. It speaks to us in a language that feels profound, yet entirely comforting and familiar.

Girls In The Grass reintroduces Hiett’s languid electric blues boogie, crafted on Saturday afternoons with fellow art director Simon Kentish. Kentish would cook, pour some wine and then utilise his arsenal of technology. He’d dial up a chugging rhythm, together with some ambient pads or keyboard textures, and anchor the weightless gauze of Hiett’s six-stringed touch.

Hiett’s guitar sings with the same clean, crisp tone as Down On The Road, animated by a carefree weekend groove. Unlike his defining album which was boiled under pressure, these subsequent sessions have all the time in the world. The naïve melodies chart a missing link between Vini Reilly’s ventures into electronica and Booker T, sounding like sun-warped takes on wordless, fractured non-hits from his heroes The Beach Boys.

Remastered for public pleasure by Simon Francis, these private moments are adorned with Hiett’s singular photography and feature typically idiosyncratic liner notes from Mikey IQ Jones.
