These woods are lovely, sheltered deep,
       And we have miles to go before we sleep,
                        And dream a custom fitted, bespoke
              To this time and place that floats between forever and 
                         The infinitesimal nature of every single moment.

A stand of pines where the currents of the lake wash up the driftwood,
   Showing the inner forms of the trees,
               Denuded and giving itself back to the water that has nourished them,
                     Aquatic denizens find shelter like scaly birds who never perch,
           Floating summers fly serene,
                    Lurking and feeding in this litoral zone where light breeds life.

The younger one’s so accustomed to this wisdom of this place is this time.

The creatures remain and reveal themselves to those who keep vigil under the Milky Way
         On this island rich in spirit, on the sheltered side.

This recording was made at Clawson Valley studios, I think, in 1975 by Devón Peña, my father Bill Corsbie, Larry Brannon, and a lovely mystic Austin Chanteuse Charlsa who retreated into the Rocky Mountains before any of us.   I was about the same age as my daughter Elisabeth In this picture in her homemade Tshirt. "Fuimus" is our motto.
