One of my favorite Beck songs, "Nobody's Fault But My Own," sampled to hell and back. So perhaps you understand the ironic title. It's a little wonky at first but the cross rhythms get very glitchy. I saw him play this solo live on a harmonium when I was 17. Beck's noise rock is frankly adjacent to glitch hop in some ways, and I would argue he's written more than a few himself, such as 1000 BPM. He has influenced me mightily, and his determination to use nonstandard lyrics was the freshest breath of air in a musical world full of, to be polite, less than stellar lyrics.

Offset x Tyga Type beat - "Marine" | Trap Rap Instrumental 2025

A live alternate mix of Swagger, using instrumentation from my Yamaha-MX61, backed up by an Akai MPK Plus which has a drum and keyboard sequencer built in. I apologize for it being mono - when my recording situation improves I will upload everything again in stereo. 😅 this is all improvised, so there are some rough edges. But, it is indeeds recorded live.

A strange vision appeared to me once. It seemed to be shaped like a man, but all black. Roundish. Tallish. With two piercing blue eyes gazing at me with seeming expectation. He said his name was Bill. He said he was glad I liked his music. He said if I wanted more I should write it.

Mr. Bill’s insanely gorgeous and catchy music made me realize that any limits I had conceived of simply did not exist. He has blown the secret vault door wide open and just left it off the hinges. It was evidence of alchemy of the most advanced kind I have ever seen. It was inevitable, friends, that I would follow after. That music. It just sounds like home. 😇
