A pair of hydrophone microphones were placed below the surface of the river and a stereo microphone recorded above the surface during the event of a sudden tidal bore on Monday March 31st 2025 at Minsterworth in Gloucestershire.

The Severn Bore is a natural phenomenon occurring on the River Severn in England. It's a large surge wave caused by the incoming tide as it pushes into the narrowing estuary and river channel, creating a powerful wave that travels upstream as far as the city of Gloucester and beyond.
