I wrote this song with Ruth Stavric in mind from the very beginning. I was so flattered that she accepted my invitation to collaborate.
I sent Ruth a very rough and "stark" version... giving her complete freedom to write her own lyrics and vocal melody... what she gave me in return literally brought me to tears.
At the risk of sounding immodest... I could not be prouder of how beautiful this turned out.
The profound lyrics and delicate performance of Ruth brought my usual "darkness" to a whole new level. I'm so honored by this magical gift. ...thank you most sincerely Ruth. ...your talents and beautiful heart will forever inspire me.
