This collection of melodies were composed by 777-111
 during the period 2005-2015. All  tracks  were  made
 in ModPlug tracker software.  In  2021  the  tracker 
 files  were  carefully transferred  into  audio file 
 format by Farnheim and 777-111.  These  tracks  were 
 released in digital format and on  floppy disks. The 
 floppy disk contains original tracker files in _*.IT 
 format  and  sound  as  close  to  the way they were  
 composed  as  possible. They could be opened in most 
 of   t r a c k e r  programs  and  edited or remixed 
 Mastering   was   applied  to  digital  release  and 
 contains extra tracks that didn’t fit to floppy disk 
 due to its capacity

Ghost Network

This is the sound piece I created for Jeremy Blake's (planned) third piece in his video series "Wild Choir". The subject is Malcolm McLaren, who also read the text here. The text was written by Theresa Duncan with help from Jeremy Blake.
The work was never finished as both Jeremy and Theresa died weeks after this mix was finished. They were two very talented and warm people and they are missed.
Malcolm himself passed away in 2009. He was a remarkable person with a career that should be required study for anyone in the arts.

While this piece is clearly not for children, I've been thinking about Theresa and Jeremy a lot lately as Rhizome.org is heading a kickstarter to release Theresa's three kids' CD-ROMs from the 90s as browser playable works (link below!) Her work was unique and stands today even, as a truly fresh approach to girl's media. An approach that does not presume that girls are all about any one thing, but rather are ready to respond to thoughtful and unusual stories and story-telling.
