Description: The unscraped reed was made as part of a batch of six on Andy May's Northumbrian Smallpipe reedmaking course, Halsway Manor - 1-3 March 2017. I decided to scrape one of them yesterday. While the results are ugly (I managed to sand away part of the binding, and the corners of the reed, so I clipped them off), the reed is surprisingly good.

Pesky Polska and Out Of Key by David Somerville
Two tunes that stay within a single octave and so do not need any keys when played on the pipes. Pesky Polska is an attempt to write a tune in the style of a Swedish polska. Out Of Key is a jig which deliberately makes quite a lot of use of notes that clash with the drones.
