This is a cover song that was written by Andy Partridge of XTC fame in the 80's & 90's. I love XTC and think Andy is an amazing songwriter. During the Pandemic in 2020-2021 my wife and I decided to record it just to make us feel a little better in that black period. It's a fun song with basically the same repeating chords through out and a nice riff. We all need to be Stupidly Happy sometimes or else what's the point? I added some original lyrics to it like the parts about "Corona" and a few other little bits here and there. The song during the credits is an original song called "Disappear" and sung by Bella, she's singing it a cappella, what a fantastic voice she has, if you want to listen to the full song with my music, scroll down and find it, it's somewhere in my catalog. A song about how I came to learn to play the guitar and start to write songs. I am very sorry for the poor sound. But at the moment I can only record with my phone. That's why I have to play the song in one go. The drums are just the built-in drum accompaniment of my amplifier, which I switched on in this song after the first chords. I will buy an audio interface and try to find a DAW (free or not too expensive) - if you know a free one, you can send me a PM.
One day I will manage to get a better sound, I am sure! But for the first songs, only all live-played with the drums from my amp recorded via phone, since I cannot do more at the moment. Perhaps some like it nevertheless? I am a bit excited about pulishing my first track here...

Composed during the year 2015 in my walks in this monument of my city.

 It is the oldest palace in use in Europe with 1,000 years old in its oldest part, and it is full of history that you can feel.

I wanted to capture the beauty and grandeur of the site where Game of Thrones was filmed (In the series it is the Palace of Dorne).

In this and final revision, the wind instruments have been further enhanced in certain phases to further mark the melody.

It is one of those places that say you have to see before you die.

El Alcazar (2024)

So much has happened in the World since I was last active on Soundcloud, nearly 3 years ago. The onslaught every day of so many people, animals and our precious Earth suffering, and no end in sight. I have been writing and painting how I feel, but my first recording is far from this, and of another time, a short, simple, and light offering for now.
I was born and raised in a small rural town that saw large amounts of snowfall in Winter, despite being the South of Scotland. We had plenty of hills to sledge down and no need to go to the Highlands. Through the years, in the many places I have lived in, my best walks were snow filled ones with the dogs, and in the mornings setting off when everything was pure and dazzling, and your whole body felt alive. The dogs would leap about so happy, and in turn affecting us, so that we were just as daft playing with them, totally energized! I give thanks for having had this.
This is for my beautiful wee Bridie, who died nearly 2 years ago.
Good to be with you all again on the Cloud!
