Solution 2

This was originally written for a performance by the Berklee Contemporary Orchestra with chorus. It was one of four movements that put prayers of peace from different Religious traditions to music. This arrangement was released on the album "Butterfly Gymsock". The lyrics are a translation from Italian of the Prayer of Saint Francis. This recording features:

Tua Pace

This is the third movement of a piece I composed for String Quartet while in China visiting Nan Jing University with Bo-In Lee. The inspiration for this movement was the sounds in the streets of downtown Nan Jing.

Nan Jing

This is the first movement of a piece I composed for String Quartet while in China visiting Nan Jing University with Bo-In Lee.  While there we attending many Banquets held in Bo-In Lee's honor. I wrote this movement with the traditional Chinese music that was played at these banquets running through my head. 
In 2016 I had the honor of being asked by Thomas Palance  the conductor of The Orchestra on the Hill to arrange this piece for chamber orchestra. The video from that performance can be found at this link:

A live trio jam done over the internet using Jamulus software across 2 states and 150 miles. Kenwood lays down a groove in 4/4 and 7/4 at the same time and off we went. This is hard to do when there is even a small lag time but it worked pretty well.
