So you think you could be falling in love

It might as well be anything you could suppose 
But when it comes to loving someone nobody knows
Although you know there’s a feeling do you know what it is?
Or are you just   sorry for some things that you did
Are you letting out emotions that are better kept hid
You wouldn’t want to hurt her would you heaven forbid
Now sympathy is always such a dangerous call
It can make you feel that you’re maybe getting ready to fall
You’re hanging round her neighbourhood though God knows what for
Maybe hoping just to see her, maybe something much more
Though mother might have told you in emotions we trust
Is it hope, is it fear, is it love, is it lust
Its not that you were looking out for someone for life
You never had that problem never looking for strife
Its not as though there’s never less than plenty on call
And when it comes to living then you’re having it all
But what is that seems to keep you waking at night
You’re not afraid of the dark nor afraid of the light
Is it fear of the future or fear of the past
Or fear that round the corner you’ll be lonely at last
Now you’re tossing and you’re turning waking up soaking wet
And the only thinking that’s on your mind is is something thing you can’t  get
Maybe this is the time that you’re falling for real
But you wish you could be sure that its love that you feel
Its true you want see her almost every day
But when you finally get so see her you’ve got nothing to say
She’s not exactly pretty but you don’t even mind
But maybe that’s a signal as they say love is blind
You shared your private number and you hoped that she’d call
And was happy even if she told you nothing at all

But increasingly its something that you can’t even hide
Is it fear of the future or fear of the past
