The Truth She’ll Never Know is a song about the things we keep to ourselves, not because we’re hiding something bad, but because saying them out loud makes them real in a way that feels too vulnerable. It’s about the thoughts you bury, the emotions you scribble out at midnight, and the truths that feel safer on paper than in conversation.

I wrote this song as a reminder that therapy isn’t weakness, sometimes it’s the only place you can actually say what’s going on in your head without breaking something that matters. It’s also about that strange twist in relationships: you go silent because you’re overwhelmed, and she thinks something’s wrong… when in reality, she’s the thing keeping you together.

This song follows a guy who hides his notebook the way some people hide their sins. Except his “confessions” are just messy, honest, over the top truths about how crazy he is about the woman he loves. To her, the quiet feels like distance. But in his therapist notes, she’s the whole storm, the whole reason, the whole damn story.

It took me a long time to write this one. It’s vulnerable. And it’s true in ways that hit harder than any whiskey ever could.
