So I was supposed to do a fishing song last week for father's day where I play sometimes, but I didn't know any, and I just couldn't find one that would fit my style, so I decided to write this one. I didn't sing it though, it's too slow and depressing (surprise!) haha. But here is a rough version of it, I'm working on a more finished version now.

This is just a story, my Dad did take out to the Old Lock to fish when I was little, but I kind of hated it, because I had to be quiet and still for 3 hours sitting in a boat.. and my Dad died when I was a teenager so we never went out there later in life.. he was a cool guy, he actually built fishing boats, they weren't anything fancy but it was really amazing to me that he could do that in his little shed in the back yard.. 

Getting up at 4a m before the birds are singing
Rise and shine to the smell of the coffee percolating
Load up the truck put the gear in the boat we’ll spend the day out fishing 
What a way to spend a saturday, out on the river 
And the coffeeville road is dark and long but we know which way to go
we’ve been this way a million times to our favorite fishing hole…

Morning Walk (2023 Remaster) - Cover

Was happy to participate in another Josh Clary jam!  
This one has an awesome vocal from Steve's Planet and the usual line up brings it here as well with...
Josh on the monster bass
Tez ripping the guitar rhythm and leads
Ken pounding out the beatz and 
JJ making it pretty with those keys. 
I was able to work in the solo in the second half and, with the help of K2 Ken get out a solid production with a nice mix and master.   I believe Tez may have added a bit as well to the post production. 

Basically it was really a true group effort.   Josh is really good with keeping things group focused and having the whole band work within his idea and vision for a song and yet still having the ability to contribute your own unique sounds.

Another fun time with a great group!
