Artifact was off of the Album "Worn Copy" released back in 2003 by Ariel Pink. The original is quirky, face paced and hard to hear the lyrics at times. This song however and an absolute gem and the lyrics are hauntingly prophetic to where we find the world today. Ruby Jack's remix of this beautiful song captures the weight of the topic.

Recorded on a simple 4 track cassette tape recorder in the 80's, William Count aka "Count" was literally struck by lightning during a storm and immediately he began to hear music in his head which led to hundreds of songs he recorded in the 80's. Count says all his songs were given to him by the universe and he is just the conduit. None of these early songs have been published or released and were hidden away in an old suitcase until now.
