I make music covering a smorgasbord of genres, inspired by the many who have come before me. Genres like jazz, funk, soul, blues, hip hop, and electronica have been defined by those with significantly less privilege than me. Their fight for respect, recognition, and justice in a system stacked against them is one I will never know.
