"Bright(on) Colours" describes the lovely work of British illustrator Grace Helmer (https://www.gracehelmer.co.uk/), and is featured in a video portrait of her for Building Tokyo (http://www.bldg-jp.com/), and made by Kenji Mori.  The (on) in the title is a play on words; Grace's hometown is Brighton, England.  I had so much fun making this song to go along with her playful, colorful illustrations, and what a convenient pun, too!  I hope you enjoy it as much, and visit on Instagram!

Bright(on) Colours

"Sleepy Town" is a little song with a big heart.  It calls you into a land that is lonesome, but not sad.  While this gentle track has a place on a future full-length project, this demo features the two amazing instruments Dave Weir has made for me.  I think the simple arrangement showcases the Poorboy electric guitar and Conspirator short-scale bass nicely.  These instruments look, feel, and sound unique in the guitar world, and Dave's design and craftsmanship are truly innovative and second to none.  Not to mention he's a pretty darn nice guy. Welcome to Goodman Park–it's time to have some fun!  This lead-off track from my forthcoming album "Early August" is a great introduction to a breezy adventure.  I wrote, performed, recorded, and mixed it myself.
