My first drum and bass set! This is all my favourite DnB at the moment. I’m really into neurofunk and chanting vocals right now. So I mixed a lot of that!

I’m proud at some of these mixes!!! Some songs layer so well together. I’m just starting to get better at using the knobs to balance the levels since I think my mixing sounds pretty busy. 

Recording this I’ve learned that I probably need a third deck. Layering two songs is so much fun but I think I need a third deck to be able to transition into the next song better. I’ve tried utilizing loops to hide that in this set but it feels so awkward. 

Things I’ve learned from this set:
- layering songs
- using cue points to play specific sections 
- using looping to fill in slow points
- using low / high pass filters to simplify sounds
- hard cutting songs into each other
- loop transitions
- using some effects like reverb

This is the start! The goal is to have one of these a month. I can’t wait to look back at this to see how far I’ve come.
