Premiere: Riva Starr Ft. Jocelyn Brown - Always [Truesoul]

Berlin’s Cinthie has rapidly become one of them most in demand DJ’s and producers in recent times, a staple in the electronic music scene of the German capital she heads up a number of imprints as well as a record store and touring the globe. Last year saw her debut on Will Saul’s Aus imprint and the start of a new direction musically, here Cinthie continues this, returning to the label with three more disco-tinged, sampled house cuts. 

Title-cut ‘Mesmerising’ leads with cinematic strings, squelchy acid bass and loose organic percussion at its core whilst an amalgamation of choppy vocals and licks and stuttering atmospherics ebb and flow within the groove. 

‘Time To Move’ follows, retaining a similar aesthetic, focusing on filtered string loops, soaring vocal chants and a bumpy arpeggio bass before ‘Dancing’ rounds out the package on a more refined tip, this time extracting influences from the previous two tracks courtesy of cut up vocals and gritty bass while the rhythmic side employs a more upfront house feel.

Re-releasing one of his seminal releases on his Crosstown Rebels imprint, Damian Lazarus has tapped. Keinemusik affiliate Adam Port, rising talent Tibi Dabo and Dutch producer Satori to provide fresh remixes on his tracks 'Moment' and 'Diamond In The Dark' - two hits off his critically acclaimed 2009 LP 'Smoke The Monster Out' on Get Physical. Lazarus plans to re-release the album on his own imprint on September 27 in celebration of its 10 year anniversary.

Ahead of the 'Moment In The Dark' EP's release on August 30, Lazarus has re-introduced us to dance music wunderkind Tibi Dabo via his stunning remix of 'Diamond In The Dark'. Deep and adventurous to its core, Dabo's interpretation focuses on pulsing synths that revolve around a perfectly crisp drum arrangement. It's a track that's bound to fill you with wonder and elation. Get locked!

The first place you’ve never been is Planet Namek, locking you in with lush pads and tropical synth work. Then immediately on the A2 we move to Priori’s Spellcaster Mix. On the flip we start off with the deep and groovy club workout Obstacle, followed by the blissful downtempo comedown of Ev Eb Otto.

Icelandic scene veteran ILO steps up to the True Romance plate and cooks up a three-part EP. Known for his remixes for reputed acts such as Sigur Rós, múm and GusGus, ILO harbors a release catalog dating almost two decades, with productions on labels such as Rebirth, Synthadelia Records, Kompakt and Thule Record ́s legendary offshoot 66 Degrees Records dating back to 2001.
Drafted alongside Belle and Sebastian keyboardist Chris Geddes, Restart doesn’t adhere to electronic music conventions, as it blends strains of deep house, ambient, minimal and organic notes alongside glitched vocal loops. Named initially after the troublesome computer operation the artists had to repeat during production, Restart part 2 has taken on the meaning of existential renewal, and explores the theme with its wandering groove and US singer Moji Abiola’s lush vocals. Inspired by people of Berlin after one of the artist’s gigs there, Restart Part #3 travels through dubby basslines and deep house pads that swirl between easygoing breakbeats.
