Getting up for work is a waste of time. I finally arrive and I've lost my mind. My sanity is off on a holiday. Living the future, forgetting the past, watching the days slip away through my hands, filling my pockets, crushing my soul, watching my dreams fall down a black hole. 
Get back to my truth and my treasures left behind. I don't want to sit on trains at peaktime.
Getting off my face is a waste of time. Spending every day trying to lose my mind. Do my best to vacate these premises. Forgetting the future, living the past, watching the days slip away through my hands. Filling my bloodstream, stoning my soul. Watching my dreams fall down a black hole. 
Get back....
Find the time to dream while stuck in traffic. Train's delayed... while commuters seethe, I'll plan my great escape. I mean no offense, but I'm sick of shirts and ties. I don't want to sit on trains at peaktime.

In our album sessions. Prior to our more ambient sound effected album version, The Nubiles were originally working toward a full band version. This is the final monitor mix of that before it changed direction.

The Nubiles 'Mindblender' Sessions - Cloaca Maxima (Full Band)

We were originally going to re-record 'Toodle Pip' for 'Mindblender', and in keeping with our direction of the time, had done a punk/drum'n'bass version, which is presented in it's monitor mix glory here. In the end decided to revert to the original but didn't have studio time to re-record the backing track, so went with the orignal EMI demo. Shame. The band is really tight and with a great feel here. 

The Nubiles 'Mindblender' Sessions - Toodle Pip (DrumNBass)

A different mix to the one that got released, and in many ways a bit better, with more guitars and drums. It got very tense and our time and money ran out back then, so we had to do quick mixes and didn't really have time to fully assess them/remix them... in retrospect many of our monitor mixes sounded maybe better than what came later.
