What is UP everyone? I've been listening to yesterday's Jamn for a bit and I must admit...I may have phoned that one in. I think Jamn 5 or 6 was my "easy" one last year. I was dealing with no sleep and a hangover. But those are just excuses! EDIT: I take it back! It slaps! 

I bring to you today some of my top effort! If you can't tell I've been trying to utilize my BBC Orchestra VST throughout the challenge, and this one is no different. The main thing that helped me with constructing this one is: MIDI! I tried not to make it too repetitive by changing octaves and such, but you can hear a clear pattern throughout.

-2025- JAMN #4 - Jamn Bruh. Just Jamn.

This January, I'm challenging myself to create a new song idea every day for 14 days (January 9th-22nd) as part of the Seed to Stage “Jamnuary” Community Challenge! I did this for the first time in 2024 while learning Ableton Live, and I'm excited to dive back in. I'll try keep each session under 2 hours. Thanks for listening, and I’d love any feedback you have. I needed to do at least one idea with a classic acoustic guitar, which is now done. Both guitar tracks are the same acoustic guitar, treated a bit differently. I started with arpeggio as I'm learning to do these with my guitar teacher, so it's good exercise. I wanted to add some strings/synth in the background but dont have much more energy for today, so maybe if  I try to develop it one day.

Day 19. Recorded my journey home on the tram a couple of nights ago, and the washing machine rhythmically chugging along. I made instruments from the beeping of the tram doors, and of a reversing truck from the construction taking place next door.

Jamn25 - 20 - Eyes Closed, Exist Again

Participation 8 to JAMNUARY 2025

I intended to add drums and some synths but really dont have much time so I just recorded directly (not even with a DI) the idea of thumping, and then added a beginning that is not thumping. It's all a bit chaotic but my sound is too high-gain I think. Anyway, you get the idea and probably can see how it can be developed XD

Note: for some reason it clips on SoundCloud but the original file doesnt T_T
EDIT: I think I fixed the clipping issues now

Our dear Anthony made a rack called 'Speed Saturator' in the Mixing & Mastering' course in lesson 9.5. He also offers an ableton set in that lesson...which inspired me to play with. The speed saturator came in handy and added a bit of distortion to the original sound.
Hope this adds to his infectious reminder to remain 'stoked' !
