that was a great era 4 music. the r and b music also had a big impact those songs were classics if u remember ever album had at least 5 good songs u couldnt go wrong with rappers back then also u had alot groups not like 2day u had fat boys run dmc.

Channel Two — The Memory: the personal voice inside, recalling what was real.

Channel Three — The Truth: the quiet connection that remains once everything else fades.

The tone is human and grounded — not cynical, but observant.
It carries that sense of “trying to tune in to what really matters.”

Champion Records proudly present a brand new remix series for 2011, featuring some of our classic back catalogue releases that have never been remixed or re-released before.

We’ve picked a handful of great tracks from our 30 year history and asked some of our favourite remixers of the moment to give them their treatment.

We’re kicking off the series with a bonafide hip-hop classic – the mighty “Just Buggin’” by Whistle, originally released on Champion in the UK back in 1986!

There was one clear remixer that we knew we had to have involved in this project, and that man is A Skillz.  Known for his sound-system destroying remixes and productions, and his full-on party DJ sets, we knew that we’d get an amazing remix from this man!  Available in full-vocal and dub form, A Skillz’ remix takes the main elements from the original and party-fies the tune with a live sounding bassline and some deck wizardry – this is THE party anthem of 2011!

Going head-to-head (although only for the purposes of this series) with A Skillz is another man we knew would provide the goods in a totally different way.  Calvertron (aka Alex Calver) steps up with not one but TWO remixes – his Electro Bass Mix covers the sound he’s most known for and doesn’t disappoint with a crazy bassline, driving 4x4 beats and vocal cut-ups.  He also turns in a dubstep take on the tune, and if his recent remix of Figure’s “I’ll Show You Bass” is anything to go by, we can expect Alex to be conquering the Dubstep world this year too!
