I was working on rainbow road for an arrangement I'll be playing in school next year, and my friend suggested I try making an orchestral version. Here's what I came up with. I've been working on this on and off for the past couple months. I probably should balance the parts, but hey, I got other projects to tackle. Can't hold on or things won't change *wink*.

Rainbow Road Orchestral Arrangement

Using high-quality rips of the MIDI data used to produce the music in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, I have "Remastered" this piece, using some of the original hardware the music was created to be played on.
In this case, I used the Edirol Sound Canvas SD-90, by Roland. This machine was an extremely popular choice for VG music production during its time, having been used in countless famous titles, such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and many others.
When playing the aforementioned games, the music produced by the console is dynamically created using MIDI music data and drastically compressed, and therefore simplified sound samples from the SD-90. This process results in sounds that don't feel as "deep" or "real" as the originals.
That being said- I took some creative liberties when creating this, such as in the areas of balancing and instrumentation. However, all choices made were in the effort of recreating the feel and energy of the original, and none of the original notes have been modified. I believe I have done that, and hope that you will agree after listening.

This is just a small little thing I made while on a trip away from home. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia, and a feeling of being at peace.

Small Town Vibes

I transcribed this song a month or so ago, and didn't do anything with the resulting MIDI. So, I spent a few hours today making this sound good to get back in the flow of things, so now I can start working on a BIG project! Keep an eye out for that in the next month or so!
