After my brain injury, I learned how to manage my emotions, and eventually, I didn't really have any bipolar thoughts. I was balanced. Then, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder became a potent part of my life. In my subconscious, the idea was that if I was fearful of things, then none of these things would actually happen. The primary fear is that anything would happen which might take aware the balanced and healthy life I now have. Some of these thoughts were about things that actually happened, like a seizure, and some of the thoughts were fears that never happened. It took me a long, long time to learn how to work with part of me and how to get my life back so that my fears didn't completely control me. This song is about this story. If you know somebody wiht OCD, I want you to show this song to your friend  or a person in your family.

I have a brain injury because of my bipolar. It almost killed me, and I am actually quite thankful for this because it gave me the time I needed to see how to change myself. Now, I have learned how to balance myself so that I don't have to use manic thoughts, which then become depressed emotions, all of which are quite narcissistic. My first song in my new album is about OCD, another disorder that I have and have learned how to work with. I am a specialist resume writer for people with disabilities and disorders, both physically and mentally. If you have a friend who has bipolar who you think might have bipolar, I hope that will give this song to him/her. Thanks for listening to this song!

Bipolar

This is a song that talks about pills, and it isn't about fun. This song is about how these pills are needed to live while I also have to be aware that these pills will not do all of the work for me. Just because I have a bipolar pill doesn't mean that I don't have work on myself. The pill helps you to be capable enough to do the work needed.

Staying Safe

I had a TBI (traumatic brain injury), and I was as close to being dead as anybody could ever be, but I didn't talk with any God at all. As I was relearning my entire world, I felt less and less secure with the idea of having a God. I feel like they (Gods) are taking parts of me away from myself, parts that I need. This song talks about how, as a agnostic, I am not sure if there is a God, but if there is a God (s), I have no interest in connecting with him/her/it in any way. Leave me alone, that is the main idea of this song.

Against Gods

A medley of work I've created over the years, all electronically produced with the except of original guitar work. I use this demo as a way to convey the breadth of my songwriting skills, particularly applying to subcultural pop music. I may, in the future, upload classical works and am currently working on a drastically darker arrangement of The Girl From Ipanema (in F-sharp Minor). I hope that this demo serves its purpose in giving me a means through which to convey the potential of my work. Thank you.

This was the first song that I completely did after my brain injury. 6 years ago, when this brain injury happened, this was the only song in the whole world that I remembered. I remembered how to make this song on my guitar, and I thought that there must be a reason for why I remembered this song and only this song. I do remember that this was my favorite song, maybe ever.

If It Is Then So Am I

6.5 years ago, I had a brain injury. I had to relearn every single skill that I know have, including relearning the entire language of English (called aphasia). Now, after years of working on myself, I am a working writer again! I am a resume writer, and I love my work. 

One of the skills that I have been relearning is making music, using electronic software, keyboard/piano, and guitar. I know that music can use the entire brain, which is a very healthy reason for anybody, with or without a disability, to learn how to make music. 

Though most of these songs were made before my brain injury, there is a recorded song (that I recorded myself) which was made after my brain injury. It is a cover for the song Miss World by Hole, which is my favorite song and was the only song that I remembered how to play after my brain injury.
