When I first heard Jonathan's song I immediately wanted to remix it! I made a bootleg first draft and sent him a clip to see what he would think. Thankfully he liked it and agreed to send me the vocal files for me to make an official remix with. I'm super happy with how it came out and grateful for the chance to work with Jonathan. I love the dude's voice, his style, and the heart for God in his lyrics.

Joyful Melody is a song of rejoicing for God's profound forgiveness. There are 2 main verses that are referenced in the lyrics. The first comes from Micah 7:19, where it says "You will cast all our sins to the depths of the sea" and the second reference is from Psalm 103:12, which says "as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us." ..If you reflect on the fact that Jesus cancels our sin-debt so completely, you can't help but offer Him thanksgiving and song! Or as Psalm 95:1 says, "Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!"

This trio of artists are back with a freshly reimagined version of their past collaboration, and this time “Hiding Place” has got an entirely different mood and sound. The original version involved an electronic and playful style, which was well-received and garnered over 2 million streams. But this latest version has a distinctly acoustic and vulnerable quality, which can hopefully allow people to connect with the lyrics in a new way. At it’s heart, the song speaks about running to God as the place of safety, refuge, protection, and peace.

Waiting Room

This song started to come together when Isaac Wheadon sent me a message one day. He knew this great singer named Georgia Costolo, who was normally very accustomed to singing on acoustic music. But Isaac had the ear to recognize that Georgia's voice would fit perfectly on deep house! 

So he started a house'y track using one of her vocals, and eventually he reached out to see if I wanted to add in any parts and help finish it. I'm glad he brought me in and let me throw my sound into it!

I had an absolute blast working on this remix for Joel. The vocals provided instant inspiration, which made it easy and exciting to run wild with ideas. I took this one in a future bass/chill trap direction, because these genres feel like they facilitate a good blend of both interesting, energetic sounds AND emotive melodic content. Had fun trying something a little different on this sort of Lo-Fi R&P track. Initially I was uncertain about who would fit on such an obscure instrumental. But Austin Sebek from Splendor Tree was adventurous enough to jump right onto this and bring it into a direction that sounds so smooth and natural. And adding that lovely soulful quality that she always brings, Sarah Juers graces this track with her own vocal touches, which are the perfect finishing compliments to the vibe that Austin started. In 2017 this trio of artists first collaborated on "Way Up", a single which went on to garner millions of streams and receive ample support from Christian radio stations. Wavy new collab with Mid November and Sajan Nauriyal! I've been loving some of the sounds I'm hearing in newer Trap / Hip-Hop / RnB music, so I wanted to bring a bit of that style to this remix. I know it can be a challenge to find Christian music that hits the same way as secular music does in terms of sheer production quality. I'm really trying my best to make music that can edify people in their walk with God while still getting them to make a stank face and bob their head. That's the mission.
