The songs and guitar parts for New Earth slowly began coming to me over the course of 3 years starting in 2019. I knew I wanted to take my time with this next album and let it be ready when it was ready. I went through many ups and downs and big life changes during this time period and coming back to these songs were the one thing that kept me moving forward and helped keep me in a positive mindset. I began the recording process in early 2021 and did not officially complete them until spring of 2022.

As with most of my songs, the names come to me last as the songs themselves are simply feelings. I knew once the names and album concept came to me it would finally be ready to release them into the world.

“New Earth” can mean many things to different people. To me, a simple way of putting it would be the direction our species needs to be moving towards in order to survive. We are all children of this beautiful planet, we are all connected, we are all one. One with Gaia. New Earth is the vibration that exists in all of us if we become aware of it. Through these songs I channel this vibration for everyone to experience it. To share with all who feel the same call that it’s time for us to wake up, cater to the land, return to nature and care and love for every living being and creature that exists here, as brothers and sisters. It is time we wake up to our truth and rediscover our true nature as higher vibrational beings that naturally resonate from a place of peace and love. Let these songs be a constant reminder of this mission to reconnect us to the thing we came from.

Water Signs originally started out back in late 2020 as being a fun side project that I began with a new singer friend of mine that I met through craigslist. We seemed to instantly connect and have very complimentary styles and intentions. We slowly started writing several songs togther as we got to know each other musically and personally, never having any serious thought of really putting these songs out into the world. Simply to share the love of music together.

Over several months we ended up recording four solid songs that we were really proud of. Despite them being some of my favorite songs I've ever been a part of over my 18 year music career, we unforuntately ended up dealing with some differences and the band was no longer. Several years later now in April 2023 I have decided it's time to dig these tunes out of the graveyard and release them as their own unique story instrumentally.

All though the songs were written with the space to have lyrics sung over them, I have listened again with fresh ears and I've relized they seem to have really captured a very special emotion from that time in my life and uniqute guitar style that I truly love. It would not have been possible without the help of my old friend who I will forever love and be grateful for our time spent together. Maybe one day "Water Signs" will make a come back and write again together, but for now this album will be a placeholder of what we have to show.
