Inside The Snowglobe (with lyrics)

Yaima's first album "Pellucidity" is a beauteous and bewitching collection of stories that seem to lead the listener on a journey through enticing soundscapes and floating melodies. Sustained by biological beats and engaging world rhythms, "Pellucidity" will soothe the savage and move the peaceful being in all of us.... 

Pellucidity means- to allow the maximum passage of light, to see clearly, as fresh water in a mountain lake...

This track was born into the world through a moment of sheer ecstatic joy. It was my birthday, I walked downtown santa cruz and stumbled upon Singing Wood Marimba playing epically booty-dancing music that uplifted my spirits as nothing else ever has. I bough their cd and continuously wept whenever i heard one of the tracks, 'Tenda'. I experimented with a little of the looping style and chord progression from that track and used a vocal looper to create this song. I had the great honor of sharing this story with them, and inviting them to play on this track. 

Unstoppable Joy for me is an infectious way to live life ad posture the heart no matter what. It is an ongoing meditation and co-creation. I dedicate this song to my beloved friend, muse and collaborator Binah Zing, who loved this song and believed in its capacity to spread light and joy with the people. May we all rise and dance together in the freedom of our truest pure joy.

is Like Water 
Falling into Water 

'Water into Water' is the first birthing of sounds 
which have been dreaming me for more than 10 years. 

This track was inspired by the waterfalls in Maui. 
It came to be after meeting photographer David Talley, 
creating this image of the waterfall in Portland. 
The photo process motivated me to crack open 
and complete this song to go with it. 

Special thanks to the teachings 
inspiring my mind 
to become crystal clear 
as thoughts appear 
like water falling into water

Dreams can take many different forms, but Seasalt and Silk w/ Allie is something of a spiritual one. Her poetic grace is undeniable. She has the ability to combine both intuition and imagination in such a way that influences those around her in a positive light; and honestly, had me pondering my own existence as a soul in the universe. It was such a magical experience to cross paths and collaborate on this song with her, and we hope you cosmic cats sit back in your time traveling vessels and enjoy this journey we made for you.
