"Pink Cloud draws its name from pink cloud syndrome, a stage of early addiction recovery that involves feelings of euphoria and elation. When you’re in this phase, you feel confident and excited about recovery. Often, pink cloud syndrome can cause a person to believe that they can now live their life without any further hurdles, which can easily lead to relapse when life gets overwhelming and stressful again.

The syndrome parallels the journey that Chris takes listeners on the EP, by the end he’s worked through his emotions and on a road to enlightenment and healing, but the tone at the end of "Smooth Operator" makes it seem that perhaps this feeling won’t last..."
