So asked by my nephew just last week "could you do anything with Paul Van Dyk?", I started pondering, what would a piano house mix of For an Angel sound like? Here is the result! Lots of Korg M1 and 909 sounds here. Using the Rachel McFarlane vocal (which isn't the cleanest),I lo-fi'd the rest of the track to give an old vinyl rip feel. Self mastered using Ozone. Hope you enjoy!

The music of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, Togo, and Benin are perhaps best known for an extremely advanced drumming tradition, especially using the dundun hourglass tension drums. Yoruba folk music became perhaps the most prominent kind of West African music in Afro-Latin and Caribbean musical styles. Yorùbá music left an especially important influence on the music used in Lukumi practice and the music of Cuba. For a comprehensive discussion of Yoruba music, see Bode Omojola's book, Yoruba Music in the Twentieth Century (University of Rochester Press, 2012).

There was no better feeling than seeing my friends dancing on my mixtapes. 
30 years later nothing has changed. 
It doesn't matter if I'm in a big or small club. 
In Brooklyn, Manhattan, Prague or Bucharest. 
When I play, I get the same goosebumps as I did when I was a kid.
