The idea - or the mood to make this - was created when I watched "chrismcrowe"'s video "Liquid Drum and Bass - Live Mixing" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEkuCD7JxPw). I liked the chords so much I tried to rebuild them. Since I am not able to hear the notes out of chords in any way it kept down to trying and so finally the chords for this project were build.

The project itself is very old though, I picked it up again a couple of days ago and finished it. I just gave up at some point earlier because I had the feeling of something missing all the time. Now these couple of days ago I realized what it was: A third pad! It's the one with the phaser-effect, that you can hear in the beginning and in the break in the middle of the song very nice.

When this was done it was just a matter of time to finish the whole project. A couple of stereo-enhancements, some details and so on. The beginning of the track was in the original version totally different but when I tried out this new version it just sounded fantastic which is why I chose this version.

I also hat the idea to build up the whole song using this effect but this would have meant I had to totally rebuild it - maybe I'll do this some day.

Die Idee, oder viel mehr die Lust diesen Track zu machen, war, als ich "chrismcrowe"s Video "Liquid Drum and Bass - Live Mixing" sah (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEkuCD7JxPw). Die Akkorde gefielen mir so gut, dass ich probiert habe sie nachzubauen. Da ich aber leider keine Akkorde hören kann, blieb es nur bei rumprobieren und so sind letztenendes die Akkorde für dieses Projekt entstanden.

Das Projekt selbst ist schon sehr alt, ich habe es erst vor ein paar Tagen wieder aufgenommen und zuende gebracht. Ich hatte irgendwann aufgegeben, da ich die ganze Zeit das Gefühl hatte, das irgendwas fehlt.
Neulich ist es mir klargeworden: Ein drittes Pad! Es ist das mit dem Phaser-Effekt, das ganz am Anfang und im Break in der Mitte gut zu hören ist.

Als das fertig war, war es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit. Ein paar Stereo-Verbesserungen, Feinheiten und so weiter. Der Anfang des Stücks war in der originalen Version ganz anders, doch als ich diese neue Version ausprobierte klang es fantastisch, weshalb ich diesen wählte.

Ich hatte auch die Idee, den ganzen Song mit diesem Effekt zu bauen, dann wäre er allerdings ganz anders aufgebaut - vielleicht mache ich das ja eines Tages.

Spring

Finally a new upload. Working on this track took quite a long time because I had no idea and no inspiration for many times - and, with this, I didn't feel like working on the music.

I created the basics of this song long time ago. I liked this idea of the sound in the beginning and then adding drams to it. This gives it a sort of mythycal touch.

This time I experimented with effects a lot. This went so far that this track has got some rave-influences.

It was hard to find a nice ending for this tracks. For a long time there was sort of a drumsolo for the end, but now I think this one is better.

While I was working on "Supernatural" I have saved many different versions of this track. One is actually pretty nice. I'm wondering if I could finish it and send it to Liquicty as a demo. Maybe that works!

Concept (feat. Chris M. Crowe)

A track I made using my KeyStation Pro 88.  Not sure what genre it is really, it's 160BPM so a bit too slow for Drum and Bass, but probably too instrumental to be dance.  Ill let you decide!  Anyway I like to listen to it when I get ready to go out, so hope you enjoy it too!  The electric guitar I play in it is a Gibson Epiphone 550 I think, although it was so dusty I'm not sure :)

I wanted to remix Kaskade's "Fire In Your New Shoes" using the chords of "Ghosts N Stuff" by Deadmau5. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the vocal parts of Kaskade's track so I decided to make this just a cover of Deadmau5's awesome song.

2010 production featuring Anomaly Jonez - Thanks so much for the awesome samples! I was aiming to make a tune in a similar style to Chase & Status featuring Plan B - End Credits, which is really catchy and I was humming it all day, so wrote this at 3am New Years Day. Hope you like it. Turn the bass up :)

Falling

Using a cool application for my Nokia N8 called "Loop". You can play in an 8 bar melody then it will loop it allowing you to play over the top, similar to the Boss Loopstation on my other video. I managed to use my foot to press the loop button, and use the mixer to delete tracks and play new ones. It's a really cool application and I was amazed at the sound quality I got with it. I used a zoom acoustic pedal to put reverb on, and the phone itself to record it.

An old-school track that I was inspired to make by listening to Anomaly Jonez samples on Looperman.Such a pure voice, I thought it would be fitting to be put to some piano.This is kind of a first draft to see how it sounds, made in Reason using ReCycle to -&gt;Rex Anomaly's vocals.Piano, strings, bass, oboes, broken beats.Hope you like it.
